Uganda demographic and health survey 2016 – Key indicators report

The 2016 Uganda Demographic and Health Survey (UDHS) was undertaken by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics to address the needs of health sector programmes. The survey was designed to provide policy makers in the Ministry of Health and other organizations with information for monitoring and planning future interventions effectively, especially in its health sector reform activities. Specifically, the 2016 UDHS collected information on fertility levels, marriage, sexual activity, fertility preferences, breastfeeding practices, and awareness and use of family planning methods.
